The intent of the Vermont District # 3 License Review Committee is as follows:
1. Review registered Ambulance and First Response licenses for completeness.
2. Review licenses for proper signatures.
3. Address issues pertaining to training levels, call response time and out of service time.
The license review committee will be made up of:
1. One District Board Officer
2. Two District Board members other than the designated officer
3. One Medical Director
The committee shall be appointed for one year at the annual meeting and shall report to the District Chairperson..
In the event an issue arises, the committee shall call a meeting with head of the service and District Chairperson to discuss the issue(s) and a resolution to correct the problem(s). The District Board will be notified only if problem continues.
The committee will meet in October prior to 2nd Thursday to discuss licenses . At this meeting any information gathered will be looked into and a recommendation on licensor will be made on all District #3 services. Any service that receives other than a full license will meet with the committee prior to the 2nd Thursday in November, to discuss the issue(s) of concern. The committee will then turn over their recommendations to the District Chairperson for their approval by the 2nd Thursday of November.
During the license review, any issues other than completeness or signatures shall be referred to the full District Board to be acted on as appropriate.
