RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DISTRICT
TRAINING COORDINATOR GUIDELINES

Although primarily a volunteer position, a District Training Coordinator assumes a large amount of responsibility for the implementation and evaluation of emergency medical services in Vermont by accepting to serve in such a position.
The responsibilities of a District Training Coordinator are as follows:
1. Act on behalf of the District Board to ensure adequate training within the district.
2. Ensure within the District individual squad training officers form a training committee to deal with the mechanics of assuring program delivery locally.
3. In conjunction with the District Board, work closely with local hospital officials, municipal officials, and others to cultivate all available local resources.
4. In conjunction with the state EMS office, evaluate existing training programs and assess future training needs.
5. Participate in a statewide training committee composed of the State Training Coordinator and other District Training Coordinators with meets regularly to coordinate resources and assure program consistency and quality statewide.
